You may think that selling your home with kiddos around is a nightmare, but have you ever thought about what the selling process would be like with your fur babies running around?
For the longest time, pets have been considered a monkey wrench of the home-selling process, and our cuddle buddies were hidden at all costs. But with ever-growing number of animal lovers all over the planet, furry ones are slowly becoming a great advertisement, touching our hearts without getting too personal.
So how exactly do they help you sell your place? We always talk about showcasing the most stunning things and putting away the unattractive, but what does it actually mean in reality of the always changing real estate business?
Entryway: The best way to win over pet-loving home buyers as soon as they enter the home is to show off the fundamentals you quickly grab when taking your puppy for a walk – the leash. Don’t get me wrong and just hang something that was chewed on or sat outside in the mud. Buy a polished looking leash and hang it nicely!
Kitchen: Get a grip on this one by adding some new shiny bowls for your animal, or displaying a super stylish doggie treat jar on your kitchen counter.
Living Room: Don’t you want to show off all the love in the world for your companions? If you have any framed photos of your dogs and cats, feel free to leave those in the room. More and more shelter magazines and websites are suggesting that.
Bedroom: Pet beds and baskets are slowly becoming any home’s necessity, if they are clean and placed right. While some stylish folks would prefer a chic sheepskin throw, more people would be in “awe” to see a cozy dog bed at the foot of yours.
Backyard: Not all of you might have an outdoor dog house, but if you do, we would highly recommend giving it a little remodel and a fresh application of new paint. Just remember that the backyard has to look exquisite (NO poop, that’s right!) before any showing of your property. You want to make an excellent first impression of a pet-friendly property for the right reasons!
And keep in mind, the only mood killer you would ever have to worry about is animal odor! Try to avoid that at all costs, and make sure to always keep that cat litter box fresh and mask the overall doggie smell with some light fresheners.
